Starting with an icon of Aus fashion at the most iconic harbour location, both touristy and cultural, exclusively for the elite, out in the open so people on the outside could look in… was a BANGER of a PR move by white Australia for Australia, which is white.
Look, okay, we know this, but if you’re going to be blatant, be honest. Why bother with a Welcome to Country and box-ticking Indigenous models and a smattering of what is seen as “diversity”? Why not, hmm, invest in everyone equally?

The Carla Zampatti show made me realise why they give the Getty boys and ilk preference in the media pits, bcause as an artist, I was uninspired by what I was photographing 😬

Runway is an artform. I photograph it that way.
Models are no longer artists, now more than ever they are just the human coathangers they never actually were, so the showing of a new collection should be an unveiling of evolution.
Not just… volution.
