Spotlighting an Australian fashion icon, featuring my personal collection of 70s, 80s, 90s Glomesh bags and accessories (some inherited from my Mother who would wear them with her saris).

 

Glomesh is still very much in business by the way and I am still a fan and this is an homage.

 

The homage is specifically to the 70s and 80s ads of the times; the “You can tell a lot about [star’s name] from her Glomesh bag” series.

 

Photographed by David Mist, an influential British-born Australian fashion, commercial, and documentary photographer, the ads featured high profile women (singers, actresses, designers, models, tv hosts) carrying their personal Glomesh bag and sharing the contents, showing how it reflects their personalities.

 

Shown in the video are the original ads of Maggie Eckert (model) and Julieanne Newbould (actress) and glimpses of ‘GLOMESHMERISED’.
