The Year of The Horse… Jacket.

 

If you follow Chinese Astrolgy you know that 2026 is the Year of The Fire Horse. Read more here at one of TS’ favourite astrology sites.

So what’s the connection to these stunning jackets and why is this editorial about horse jackets when there’s nary a jodhpur on site [except the actual city in India]?

 

 

1. AUTUMN and a modern design interpretation of an ancient style worn over a 90s Little Joe Woman slip dress.

2. WINTER showing a 60s Peony Shanghai Red Cheongsam Coat worn over vintage 80s and 90s Australian labels

3. SPRING showcasing an 80s Red Clouds bright musk pink Cheongsam Coat over a 70s House of Merivale treasure

4. SUMMER shows my favourite… a 70s teal Cheongsam Coat.

5. ALL YEAR a Tangzhuang jacket I found in a thrift shop [opshop] in Suva, Fiji in 2022 [story in Publisher’s Log] paired with an 80s purple leather skirt made to rock n roll and a t-shirt I bought at Uluru of Uluru signed by the artist Riley.
