1. What is taking centre stage in your mind right now?
My health, my family’s health and achieving a balanced lifestyle.

2. What’s the first thing you do after waking up in the morning?
Check my phone, but am working on reducing the urge.

3. Is what you’re doing now what you have always wanted to do?
I currently work for a NSW Government cultural institution part-time, which gives me time for my own projects under my entity titled Tapastry, and time to spend with my family.

My work and projects focus on creativity, music, artists, Pacific communities and Western Sydney. It is what I have also been interested in.

There are a few other initiatives and life experiences I am interested in, when the time is right [I will do those].

4. What’s something that takes up way too much of your time?
Social media. I have realised I spend a lot of time on my phone.  In 2025, I am now turning it off more often, and also leaving it in different rooms of the house so I am not tempted to pick it up.

5. Time travel: when, where and why?
That’s a tricky one. Part of me says the past so I can see my dad and my sister. However the possibility of seeing the future is exciting.

6. What are you most grateful for?
My life, my health, my daughter and our blessings.

7. What colour would you use to describe yourself?
The first image that comes to mind is aqua or teal, I don’t know why. I just did a quick search and this colour represents tranquility, healing, creativity and intuition… yep that sounds about right.

8. Name a book that had an impact on you and why.
The road less travelled by Dr Scott Peck.

I read it in my 20s and it helped me deal with a lot of personal challenges.  t shifted my mindset to help me understand myself and life a bit better, whilst also helping me heal and focus on my goals.

9. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done (so far)?
I was a rebellious teenager growing up in western Sydney, I truanted quite a bit, ran away a lot. I was hanging out with and and was surrounded by different youth cultures including Graffiti, street gangs, searchers, etc. There was a lot of crazy stuff going on, plus I lost a lot of friends along the way.

Today I thank God for my life.

10. What’s your idea of a perfect holiday?
My perfect holiday includes the beach, music, and innovative experiences where I get to chill, create, party a little bit, learn a bit and also give back to the spaces I visit.

The two spots that come to mind are New York City and Fiji.

11. If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be?
My phone, a notebook, a pen, a car and a MacBook.

12. Do you have tattoos?
Yes, I have Fijian/ Samoan inspired marks on my chest by Julia Mageau Gray  [IG: @melanesianmarks ]

They are my way of connecting to my Pacific heritage whilst also paying homage to our female ancestors.

13. What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?
My life. I was adopted at birth.

14. What’s your favorite cake and icing flavor combo?
Vanilla sponge and icing.

15. Is there a movie you could watch over and over again?
I can’t think of any right now…

16. What is your style signature/ your favourite look?
I wear black daily for work with white sneakers.

On my other days it’s athletic wear and sneakers. I like the casual and comfy-ness of it and am always prepped to exercise in between meetings and appointments.
In terms of formal wear, I do love to add a touch of the Pacific.

17. What is your best childhood memory?
My first thought is sitting in my dads car listening the radio, singing along as he drove from our home in Lami to Suva town or Nasese to school in Fiji.

18. What do you want to be remembered for?
My love for my family, my community, my Pacific culture and my music.

19. How would your friends describe you?
Not sure actually, probably hard-working, creative, passionate about people and a trail-blazer.

20. THREE things you love about yourself…. and ONE thing you would change.
I love that I am able to always find the positive in negative situations, I love that I am creative and that I am a Pacific woman. ‘

One thing I would change about myself is that I don’t acknowledge my achievements. I am now learning to appreciate and celebrate my achievements.
